Oltre che su questo sito, pubblico recensioni di libri anche su Amazon.
Il mese scorso ricevetti un’email da uno scrittore a me sconosciuto. Costui aveva notato le mie recensioni e ne voleva una per sé. Mi chiese se poteva mandarmi una copia omaggio.

“Lo sventurato rispose!”

Accettai, spiegando che non avrei chiesto favori o denaro in cambio della recensione. Aggiunsi che non assicuravo che essa sarebbe stata favorevole.
Dopo qualche giorno il libro arrivò per posta prioritaria dagli Stati Uniti (...)

Other than on this site, I publish book reviews also on Amazon.
The past month I received an email from an unknown to me writer. He had noticed my book reviews and wanted one for himself. He asked whether he could send me a complimentary copy of the book.

"The unlucky answered!"

I accepted, explaining that I would not have asked favours or money in exchange for the book review. I added that I did not assure that it would have been favourable.
After a few days the book arrived via priority mail from the United States (...)
